Prep work for Cubbies

AWANA Cubbies.

Preschoolers.

Teaching.

Crafts.

Bible stories.

Memory verses.

Cute clip art.

Yards of laminated paper.

Color coding.

Organizing it all.

That pretty much sums it up! When I agreed to be the Cubbies director for this coming year, I couldn't wait to get started! In the couple of months before August, I began google searchespinterest pins and making many plans.

Yes, my family room floor looked like this for a while!


I dug into my stash of fuzzy pom poms (do I really have THIS many?!?!)...



...glued velcro to each one...

...and created fuzzy worms! They're cute! And they took f.o.r.e.v.e.r. to glue those
velcro pieces on. But it was SO worth it!


Labels, stencils and stickers, of course. ;)


Pool noodles, tiny pom poms, chenille stems, google eyes and rope...

see those cute faces?!?!

numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

...create counting caterpillars!

And, of course, foam shapes...

...make matching shape charts.

All of these are beginning activities for the kiddos to enjoy doing while all the clubbers are arriving, before we get started for the evening. I have more ideas too....such as playdough and playdough mats, printable pre-k activities and Bible matching cards.

I can't wait to get started!!!!!!! :)
